Ht. 5'3", Wt. 209.5 - I have a friend who is at a healthy weight for her height and age, and she wears a size 7. She wants to weigh 110 and be a size 3, and a year ago she wanted to be a size 7. I am really afraid that she will develop an eating disorder, and I told her that, but she wouldn't listen to me, and she told me that she thinks she's fat. I really care about this friend, adn the way her habits have been going, I figure that she will keep making her goals smaller and smaller like she already has been doing. She has also even told me that these girls are about the same size as her goal look anorexic and gross. I don't think she realizes how thin she really is. So I've already confronted her, and she wouldn't listen, so what do I do now??? And I am afraid that my bieng friends with her will make me think I am fatter than what I really am. HELP!!!

she has a big risk of getting an eating disorder , witch could put her life in jepordey : danger ,, keep an close eye on her , and always say things to make her fell good about her self and make her realise that she dosent need to loose weight

I think she is fine. I, mean, yeah, she is trying to lose weight, but who isn't? It seems like everyone in the world is. 110 is fine for her, and an eating disorder is more emotional, than about food and/or weight. The wrapping fingers to see bone size is pretty accurate, I think. I've heard it several different places. Keep an eye on her, but don't keep nagging her, it will only make it worse, at least, that's how it was for me.

5'2" and I know 110 would still be a healthy weight, but like I said, she keeps making her goal smaller and smaller. The only reason she wants to weigh 110 is because in Doctor Phil's book, it said for someone her height, and small boned that a healthy weight is 107-112lbs. And she is NOT small boned, but she has in her mind that she is, beccause there was this website that said a way to determine your bone size is to wrap your index finger and thumb around your wrist, and if they overlap, then you are small boned... I don't think that's acurate
