- These past 2 days i havent been doing really good on my diet, and i`m not sure but i think i gained a pound. If i did wouldnt be surprised. I know i shouldnt feel this way..but im starting to feel real discouraged, when i gain one pound, just one, i get so scared that i`m going to gain another pound plus ten. In the back of mind I know once i get back on track with my diet everything will be ok..but another part of me is saying, you're gonna mess up your whole diet and gain so much. Please, if anyone knows any tips on relaxing when you mess up on your diet .. can u please tell me . = ( thanks.

this is what i do: drink a tall glass of cold water, go to your room lay on ur bed, close ur eyes and breathe REALLY deep! it calms u down, plus the water is really good 4 u

Leah, that was a really good tip! So about the 1 pound thing. I bet you didn't know that during the day, especially during your period, your weight can fluctuate 3 or 4 pounds! That why it's a good idea to weigh yourself once every two weeks, and exactly the same time in the day. If you're having your period you can get bloated or whatever, so don't let that scare you. It's only water! If you're focused on your diet, you won't gain 10 pounds without noticing! Just continue your good work.

MESS UPS HAPPEN. WHATEVER YOU DO, THOUGH, DO NOT LET A FEW DAYS OF MESSING UP ALLOW YOU TO KEEP MESSING UP. NEVER SAY, "I'LL JUST START MY DIET TOMORROW AND EAT WHAT I WANT TODAY." THAT IS THE WORST POSSIBLE THING EVER. DON'T SAY, "WELL I ALREADY ATE DORITOS TODAY, I MIGHT AS WELL HAVE ICE CREAM TOO." I HAVE ONE MORE GOOD TIP...THIS ALSO HELPED ME. GET A RING..FOR YOUR FINGER. PREFERABLY A BIG RING. IT CAN BE YOUR "DIET RING" WHEN IT'S ON YOUR HAND YOU CAN'T EAT JUNK FOOD. IT WILL HELP TO KEEP YOU FOCUSED, AND IT WILL REMIND YOU THAT YOU ARE ON A DIET.

well 1st of all you probably should think of it as a new lifestyle instead of diet...and 2ndly maybe you should check some posts theyre filled with tips and leah had some great tips too!
