Hi I am new.... Welllet me start off my story Before I began school I was so excited because I weighed 215 after weighing 230 for a while. I was doing great on my low carb diet but all of a sudden because i did not go anywhere for summer I gained back weight without even eating junk. I went from 215 to 250 (that is my current weight which is very depressing.) Now i am even more depressed because in three months I have to go to Dominican Republic (which I hoped to look good for because it is like a beach paradise)I want to know what you think is a good weight for me ( I am 5'8 so my weight does not show alot I am also a 16 in pants)to lose before the end of june and what pant size I will be able to reach (I have a very thick bone frame). Please help me

Tanks so much all of you....
When I lost the weight I was on the south beach diet I as also thinking about using power 90 because i saw the infomercial but i need to convince my parents. My doctor said it will be hard for me to get real thin because my stomach is not even thick if you poke it you feel the muscle under it which is strange for what I weigh

When I started 'dieting' (I don't consider Weight Watchers a diet), I was 5.8" and my doctor told me my healthy weight would be 165. I also have a large frame. She said that I could get down to 150 if I wanted to, but to be careful. To have the most accurate healthy weight, I would talk to your doctor. He/She can take in account way more things than your hight shows.

I think you should lose about 20-25 lbs.

You can check the weight calculator and that may help. You should really ask your doctor about what a healthy weight for you would be, they would know best. They can also help you lose weight. Plus were always here if you need help, advice, or have questions.

Well Katherine I can relate to you because I lost 19lbs and then I didn't go back to junk and fatning that weight back! Now I'm working out daily at the gym! I recommend very cardiovascular work outs! Like the treadmill, elliptical, and the bike! If you like to walk walk if you like to run then run. It's really fun losing weight when you're having fun so make sure that you're having fun and not killing yourself! I'm going to the beach this summer as well and I want to look "good" not flubbery!!!lol. but you just got to work very hard and check out some diets!!! I suggest the South Beach Diet! It's pretty good.

I think 145 lbs to 150 lbs would be ideal for you, because I know my BMI shows that I should be roughly 140lbs to be at a healthy weight and Im 5'7

-Well according to my health book, to be at a healthy weight u should go for 130-147 pounds.
Well by the end of june I think you could lose between 20-30 pounds, if you try hard enough. And, i think 30 pounds is pretty good. In my opinion, u should shoot for 20 pounds gone by june.
Hope i helped..i`m not good at advice.
