Hey guys, I hope your days going well. Well, I have a question about maintaining your weight. I'm not there yet, but once we all reach our goals we gotta know how many calories we can eat to maintain our weight right? Well, I've been going on websites and seeing how many calories I should eat to maintain a weight of 116 lbs, and 5'2''. With exercising 4-5 times a week. I've gotten that I should eat 1200 calories to maintain my weight, all the way to 2,000. I have no idea how many I should eat in the long run and I'm confused. Any of you guys have any methods or anything? I'd appreciate it. Thankyou!

the thing about losing weight is you restrict the amount of calories there for making your body eat less but if you lose the weight and eat more for a long period of time you will most likely gain the weight back (not all at once like those fad diets) but slowly you will or you may have sped up your metabolism to where it doesnt matter if you raise your calorie intake but my suggetion is if you are raising your calorie intake increase the amount of excersize because gaining any amount of weight back can be so discouraging but also im not saying it is most definately that you will gain every single pound back im just saying you might gain one or two back you know ... ihope this helped. p.s. the amount of calories i think you should take in after you have lost the weight is (im assuming you eat 1200 now) around 1500-1600 but you never know you may never eat that many because you will have learned self control..

I think 1200 is good if your trying to lose weight. I'd say 1500 calories if your trying to maintain weight.

You could test it out and if you gain weight w/ 2000 calories go down some until you find where you need to be.
