One of the main componants (sp) of anorexia is the hiding of it. The not trusting anyone thing. But one thing that alot of these pro-ana sites are promoting is that all girls who are anorexic wear a red beaded bracelet. So its basically to tell teh world your an ana and proud of it. Isnt that a totally contradiction?

I hadn't heard of this, but maybe its what Rachel said - they figure most people don't know the symbol so they feel safe. It may also be that just not that many people wear one, and its just certain groups or something. Part of the disease is hiding it - so yeah, it contridicts. *Ray*Ray*

Nearly all anas(anorexics) know the sign that somebody has anorexia, (the red bracelet). Most people who are not anorexic don't know the symbol, so I guess the anas feel safe wearing it. But just because somebody is wearing a red bracelet does not mean they are anorexic. Heck, I'm wearing one right now and I'm far from being ana.
