hey yall! i dont really get what water weight is and why they call it that i just dont understand it lol im pretty dumb huh? well if u get a chance maybe someone can explain it to me! is it good or bad to have? how do u get rid of it? or what?

your body has a balance of salts and water. When you eat really salty food like Chinese food or popcorn, or if you drink caffeine, your body holds onto water that would otherwise just be flushed out, because it's trying to even out the salt and water balance. It's not really good or bad to have, because it's not real weight. But when you first start a weight loss plan, often times people will lose a lot of weight the first week, just because it's water weight. The only thing about water weight is that you want to avoid salty foods the day before your weigh in, so it doesn't look like you weigh more because you're retaining water.
