well last night i was telling my friend how i have lost weight but my stomach is looking fatter, she thinks that i am losing muscle not fat. I mean i exercise almost everyday and eat close to 1200 cal..how do i stop taht?

it could be completely true. shannon might not be eating enough protien to keep her muscle intact while eating less calories. make sure you're eating around 50g protien a day!

nope, thats totallly not true, working your stomahc makes the muscles grow, but if you still have fat on top of the muscles, then the new muscle will push the fat out, making your stomach look bigger. Good news is that with more stomach muscles, you can burn the fat faster! So just keep up the good work!
