Oh I forgot also, for Weight Watchers. Besides your certain number of points you get every day, every week you get 35 "flex" points, which are points you can choose to use or not. Like if one day you just HAD to eat more or you were out to eat and you wanted dessert, then you can choose to use your flex points. I know it sounds like you wouldn't lose weight that way, but you do. And you don't have to use your flex points if you dont' want to. You also earn more food points if you exercise. Those are called "APs" which are Activity Points. Sorry, just had to add that!

I'm doing Weight Watchers and I absolutely love it. Weight Watchers basically allows you to eat anything, nothing is really restricted. I love it because I feel it's a program that I can stick to for the rest of my life because it's more of a lifestyle thing than just a diet. You get a certain number of points per day to eat depending on your weight, (I get 20 b/c I'm under 150 pounds) Each food is assigned a certain points value, and although it might seem hard to know all of the points values it really just becomes second nature after a while. You could probably ask me any food and I'd know exactly how many points it is, because it's WWAAY more simple than counting calories. You can go to Weight Watchers meetings, or do the online program. Either way you get toonns of support from other WW people and there are articles and I personally feel it's the best program out there. I've read tons of articles all over that state that WW is one of hte only 'diets' that actually helps you lose weight and KEEP it off, becauase it focuses on all around good eating habits, not just losing the weight. They tell you how to KEEP it off, and it simply emphasizes making good choices and exercising, but there are no restrictions for food. You simply budget your points, and you end up wanting to choose healthy foods just because they're lower in points. For example, I'd rather have 4 cups of reduced fat popcorn that is 1 point instead of 1 cup of regular movie theatre popcorn that is like 4 points.

Hey,the south beach diet is just another fad diet. I went on it and lost like 15lb in 2 weeks, but as soon as i was done ans satisfied with my weight loss, i stopped and all the weight came back. They really dont work, unless you stay on them for the rest of your lif, which is very unhealthy. What you should do is go to someone who doesnt want to sell you something, ie- a dieticion(sp), your doctor, or even a parent who is diet savy. Let them help you plan out a healthy but managable diet and follow it! good luck!
