Ok, question, is there something really wrong with me, or is this something i can fix? -- I can never do anything for a long time. I can run super fast, swim super last, do whatever super fast, BUT never for a long time. I have no endurence!! Is this something that i can "gain", or will i always be this way?

you can definately gain endurance! i gained a lot by doing taebo from taebo tapes. they kick your butt and you have to push yourself. i couldn't get through my first tape- but i kept doing more and more and it worked really well...now i just have to get back into that habit...

I agee you do sound like more of a sprinter when it comes to running but i did track and crosscountry 2years it was totally awesome. you might not be able to run a marathon but to build endurance you should try running long distances start at a 2miles (run: 1/2 mile warmup 1mile at speed and 1/2mile cool down) then work on adding miles at speed. IT works! oh and if you really want a challenge try to go to a park or somewhere hilly its a harder workout but man it gives you awesome legs and its good for your heart and endurance which is what you want. take it easy! dont over do it. alternate : 1day a workout like i posted and another of the same distances but slower and more of a jog. make sure u eat a small snack 1/2 an hour b4 working out and/or a few minutes after(not candy though). if ur want to start running drink LOTS of WATER throughout the whole day and b4 u run and after. U'll have more endurance in no time! If you want to know anything else about running let me know cccutie1987@yahoo.com

Well basically. Your a SPRINTER!! Are you kinda short with short and muscular legs? Then your the type of person who has explosive speed. The other type is someone who can keep on going and going and going. Those types of people dont have any burts of speed. if you want more endurance then join your track team. They'll have you running 3-4 miles.

ok,there are many aspects of fitness such as flexibilty, strength, power, muscular endurance(ect).Anyway all sports need different aspects of fitness.you sound like you have power, and do things which are an-aerobic(dont need as much breathin).endurance can always be developed,so if you train you will be able to improve it.what you should do is do swimming (or whatever),for a longer amount of time at a steady speed.you dont need to start of doin it for ages, jus add on a couple of minutes each week. you'll gradually improve!!Amal
