soi've been on a diet for about a week now and I lost 4 pounds. the weird thing is that I think its unsafe to lose 4 lbs in a week...i mean im not hungry usually and very used to it. i've been exercising for 40 mins a day.Do you think its ok to lose alittle extra ponds the first week of dieting?

yah, for like the first 2 weeks you lose alot, but as u go on diets over time, that affect tapers off, and you only lose alot for less than a few days.

I think that if you are just starting out, that will be fine.
But after the first few weeks, your weight loss should slow down a bit. If it doesn't, then eat a little more so it is about 1-2 pounds per week. That would be healthier.
