omg my mom is getting so on my nerves, every time when she goes to the grocery store, she brings like fatty foods home. like donuts, chips, ect. i'm 5'5 and 230 pounds. I'm in Cardio and Karate, and everytime when i ask her to bring something low fat, she just says i burn everything off in class, and says that i dont need low fat, and low carb stuff. she thinks its all stupid. i wanna lose a lot of weight but it's my mom stopping me. I've been working out for the last 3 years with both cardio and karate but i've seen no results. i'm blaming my mom, and i should be, and she thinks i would get sick, but i dont know how to change her mind about me wanting to diet. any suggestions?

im sorry but a big part of losing weight is realizing that its not anyone elses problem but yours. Maybe your mom wants that food for herself. Whose forcing you to eat it? You control what you eat, not your mom. There are always gong to be temptations, but you need to learn to resist them.

hey girl. I know how you feel and everything...sometimes it is hard but this advice I'm about to give you may sound crapy but trust me, It's the truth. Your Mom isnt the one stopping you from losing weight. Even though she brings all that stuff into the house doesnt mean you have to overeat and gain weight. Only you have control over what you eat...as well as the rest of us here. Your family can't stop their lives just because you want to lose weight..You have to be able to say no and only you can tell yourself no..when you've had enough. It's not what you eat, its how much you eat of it. I know this because I've had the same thoughts in my head before..then I realized that Only I can control my weight..not my mom, not my family, not anyone but me. So far I've lost 25 lbs from using this advice..Please trust me here. I know you can do it...just tell yourself you are beautiful the way you are...and learn how to say no to food. We eat to live, we don't live to eat. Good luck

you don't need low fat or low carb stuff. just eat less of the stuff you're eating now and you will lose weight. less calories. ask her to bring home fruits and veggies too...
