Hey im claire, for about a month i have been eating three meals a day, having a snack rarely, and going to the gym 4 times a week, sometimes even more. I have been doing cardio (cycling cross trainer a bit of running etc) and weights, but i don't want to bulk up and get really chunky muscles im scared! Please help or give some advice to help me avoid this (by the way i have lost about a stone so far, but its being stubborn and not going as quickly now) Thx x  (Note: 1 stone (st) equals 14 pounds.)

Yeah, thats a big fear, you exercise to loose weight, and you end up bigger then before!! So try things like Pilates and Yoga, they are a pain in the butt cuz you have to do 'um sooo slow, BUT, they pay off, they make your muscles longer and stronger, but not scary big like the muscle men at teh circus. Give it a try!!

for weight lifting, use light weights, but do a lot of repetitions. it strengthens your muscles and helps burn fat, but it doesn't make them huge.

what you should do is jsut do weights sparingly and for a short period of time dont be like muscle man and just go at it, take it slow and love life, its fun dont waste it casue you only have one good luck
