OK so i blew becoming a vegetarian. I relized how much more i was binging on the very few foods i could eat and was never satisfied at the end of each meal. Now, although there is that tinge of guilt for not helping the animals (lol the sounds geeky) i relized my body was more important so here i am again eating healthy and hopefully start losing some more weight! Here's my question: is too much sleeping(like 12 instead of 9 hours) bad?

you're totally right. and this is stupid. Someone said it was impossible to lose weight on a vegetarian diet, and i was clearing that up. Meat or no meat, a sound healthy diet and exercise regime will cause weight loss...

omg! this is stupid- what i was saying is if you keep eating junk you'll never lose it and of course there's meat free junk. BUT it can help with digestion and such and if you're eating a lot of good stuff and exersizing of course you'll lose weight if you eat meat or not...

what you're saying kiddo is that a vegetarian diet is not a sound way to lose weight, nor a weight loss option whatsoever. doctor's recommend vegetarian diets daily, for issues of weight loss; and in fact i lost a good deal of weight on a vegetarian diet, quite safely and in a healthy manner. LOL im not posting anymore on this subject why bother? Oh one more thing yes a vegetarian diet is like any other, it requires eating sound healthy meals, and exercising. Just going 'vegetarian' in and of itself will not help with healthy weight loss, unless done properly..

I read about a study done concerning people who slept less than 7 hours for a long period of time and people who slept over 9 hours. The results were that they pretty much caused the same effects. People who slept more were actually just as groggy as people who slept less and their brains functioned about the same. Weird, huh?

Ya, my doctor approved me becoming an ovo-vegetarian, the i was going to go back on friday to get some more sugggestions, but it was just too hard for me lol. And I started off becoming a vegetarian as it was genuine concern for animals, but then once i found out i could lose weight i was really happy, and as well as the other health benifits, but its just not working for me so i had to stop.

I don't know what that kid is talking about. A vegetarian diet, or even a vegan diet, is completely healthy and medically approved IF done correctly. LOL but it's hard work. As for the whole sleeping issue, i have no clue..do an internet search???

I don't know what the kid before me is talking about, but there IS such a thing as too much sleep. I know this for a fact. Getting too many hours of sleep could in fact make you more tired throughout the day. There are many other things that come out of sleeping too much. A good amount of sleep is 7-8 hours a night. You should look up more about this question because right now I dont remember all of the effects of too many hours sleeping. Oh and one more thing, don't try to become a vegetarian to lose weight because there is no such thing. Many people think that they can lose weight if they give up meat and things like that, but thats not true.

I dont think too many hours of sleep is bad, because sleeping burns more calories then sitting and watching tv, but for some people it makes them groggy. It depends on how you feel about you sleep that long, if you feel fine, then it is fine.
