I'm not sure exactly what kind of help you're looking for, but a good way to boost your metabolism and rid of body fat is to lift weights! They don't have to be heavy weights. For starters, all you need are 3 or 5 pound hand weights. By Lifting weights, you're gaining muscle. Muscle burns fat...even after you're done your workout! Your body will also begin to take a nice shape. A *really* good book to help you with weight training is a book called "toning for teens". It's easy to understand and follow. You can look it up on the net if you'd like! Along with weight lifting, it's important that you do cardio (aerobic) activity as well. This too, will burn fat. But it only burns fat. It won't shape those trouble areas or give you nice definition. You need to do both in moderation of some sort! So that alone is the exercise portion! You must eat HEALTHY & in balance! It's good to eat a MINIMUM of every 3-5 hours!! This keeps your metabolism up! Going longer then 5 hours may slow it down and you will keep weight! I'll only explain this briefly, but eating in balance is very important. Basically to eat in "blanace" means that you have a 30-30-40 (3-3-4) balance in foods. MEANING...your meals should contain 30% protein, 30% fat (YES FAT!!), and 40% carbs! With all the exercise you'll be doing, you DO infact NEED more carbs! & you NEED fat in your meals. Healthy fats, of course! Your body uses fat as fuel. Any meal or snack CAN be balanced! For example, if you're craving a popcorn snack this is what you need to remember. Popcorn is carbs, so you have the carb portion of your meal covered. Have A SMALL AMOUNT of butter on your popcorn, and there is your fat. Now we need protien. A slice of cheese can do it! & there you have it, a perfectly balanced snack! You can do this for every meal you can think of! Also, eliminate any unnecessary calories! In other words, avoid pop & even JUICE! Drink PLENTY of water. Water flushes out fat. An added bonus is that it's good for your skin and give you a beautiful glow! Anyway, I think I said enough there! I know a threw a lot of information at you all at once. If you need any help with something or need some clarifications feel free to give me a shout! You can email me at rinni_9@hotmail.com (or add me on msn) and I will do my best to explain this all more clearly! You can do it! Good luck!
