It takes me 6 minutes and 5 seconds to run the mile in school. I am in track though and I am a sprinter so I dont run the mile but I have to be able to. I dont think you should try to run for time just distance

ITS BEST TO EAT AFTER. YOU SHOULD DRINK WATER BEFORE AND DURING, BUT A LOT AFTER TO REHYDRATE YOURSELF. DRINKKING OR EATING TOO MUCH DURING OR BEFORE MIGHT MAKE YOU THROW UP

When we had to run a mile at school for a grade, it took me 8:23. But i was running fast for a grade! I think you should probobly take breaks and during those breaks, drink LOTS of water!! I'll have to say before eating or at least an hour after so you dont throw up all your food if you get to overheated or anything! email me at its_hopeless_love@yahoo.com

I can run/jog a mile in 14 and a half minutes. You should do two a day in intervals like run/jog 15 minutes in the morning and then do it again in midday or night.
