Omg guys, I just watched true life on mtv and it was about obese people and it is really sad and now I am upset w/ myself for thinking that I am fat. I am overweight and I use to be obese and I am so happy that I am not now, but on the episode it had a plus size model that has this super cute boyfriend that doesn't think size matters (it doesn't!!!) and the girl gets into this modeling job to show the world that obese ppl are hot too! and then they have this 17 year old that is graduating and he is so depressed and he moved to this town so people wouldn't make fun of him and then, he goes out and walks his dog and there is a group of people and they start picking on him and there is this other morbidly obese 27 year old and she gets a gastric bypass, but before that she went into a restaurant and one person goes man she is a big girl! That is terrible, I mean I think things about people, but even if they were 1000 pounds I would not say anything that mean!!!! Omg I would cry to myself all the time if people were that mean, so when your sitting around thinking you are really fat, think about people who can't walk or take a shower b/c they are so big. I am really depressed about the whole show, and maybe some of you watched it and if you did write your comments about it.

yah i think i did see that show and it definantely did open my eyes. I also agree on you guys feelings about how obese people are treated in public but i have a story that may cheer you up. I think it was my freshman yr of high school that in the school newspaper a fairly popular girl named Mallory wrote a story on an experiment she did. It was a look on the life of people who had disabilites or were different, she pretended to be blind, to be in a wheelchair and lastly put on a padded body suit and pretended to be overweight. In her article she revealed to all those skinny ppl how we feel sometimes and they all were opened up to how cruel they can sometimes be. At least some ppl are more open minded than others espeically people just like us, F.A.T. people, fabalous and thick!

That is really sad, I saw the girl and the guy on channel 7, saying that they were going to have that one surgery. Yeah, she went into a restauraunt, and one little girl, said "OMG, she is so big!" This made the lady cry in tears. I think it is good that she has her husband for support. At least I think that was her husband. But yeah, when I do hear about those, I feel like I am lucky.

i watched it- it was so saddddd. its weird to realize that here we are worrying about 10,20, or 30 pounds and they can't even get out of bed. i kept thinking how just one little comment like the girl who said " she's big" can hurt someone so much, just two little words. i now have a new respect for obese people. maybe we can chat sometime Katiecool01@yahoo.com.
