Hey guys! I am going to a boarding school next year. I was wondering if that is gonna help or destroy my weight loss? I am gonna be on the cross country team in the fall. They run 10 miles for practice 4 times per week and have meets wednesday and saturday. In the winter I am gonna do jogging (not really a sport) and its every day you go outside to jog with your friends for an hour and a half. In the spring I am doing tennis. I think that living at the school will help because I will not have access to food 24/7 like i do now and I will have 3 balanced meals. What are your thoughts?????????

it could help you oir hurt you. it all depends on how you use your resources. you should really concentrate on eating healthy and less calories- but that can be hard eating in a dinning hall(trust me, i live on keene state college campus during the summer aqnd it's really hard to keep eating healthy). so just work at it and of course it can helop if you use your position in a useful way...

I am going to a very expensive boarding school. I think its like $34 000 a year but i'm on scholarship so dont think i'm some sort of filthy rich brat. lol. I think they have a good salad bar. A big advantage of going to the school in my opinion is that I'm not gonna be able to snack in between meals. So I hope their food is good.

if you do get to pick from a wide menu, always go for things like salads, chicken, ect. (our school served KILLER soups and salads)

3 balanced school lunches, i didnt know those EXISTED. try watching what you eat while at school, most school foods are high cal, unless you are going to an epensive boarding school( my old school was a day/boarding school, we had our foods catered from a reasturant)
