how can i find a place that does weight watchers? i went on the website and it had nothing about teenagers doing weight watchers.
Reply from JS, Age 12 - 06/03/04 - IP#: 148.167.126.xxx for a teen(over 10) to join weight watchers, they must first go to the site, and lookup meetingsa in thier area. to attened, they have to have a parent with em(i think, check on that), and they have to first go to thier doctor and get a slip saying they are overweight, and can diet, what thier current weight is, and thier goal weight.
Reply from Hanne, Age 14 - 06/03/04 - IP#: 68.89.158.xxx kaitlyn is right, you do need doctors permission, it's a new law. but if you are "obese" the doctors shouldn't have a problem with reccomending you to it. when they made the new law i was already on it, but i still had to have a doctors note!
Reply from cat, Age 18 - 06/03/04 - IP#: 80.44.184.xxx no it doesn't specifically say anything about teenagers doing weightwatchers but they still can...i joined at 16 & 17(shame on me I quit) but now at 18 im back.....one tip is to actually follow the program. when I failed before I wasn't using the point system, just the weigh ins & I ended up giving up, but now im on the point system im doing well. it doesn't matter if ur a teenager. I go to meetings and everyone there's old(as in elderly old!!) because its a Monday morning meeting and everyone else is at school or work. I don't mind though because im not there for other people im there for me. plus I find it better as I might b embarrased if there were people my own age. I dunno. all I know is that joining will be the best decision of ur life xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
