I am 5'5 and i weigh 130-----I really want to lose 5 pounds by May 13(my bday) is there any way that i can do this? Is it highly possible? I dont eat that much to begin with and for the past week iv been exersizing for 45 min. a day. Yesterday I had 2 pieces of whole wheat bread for breakfast----two handfulls of pistachios---A LOT OF WATER---2 (Small oatmeal cookies)----and then i had a big grilled chicken salad(But it had gorgonzola cheese in it) and i gained weight--i think the reason for this is because i ate late---can anyone think of any improvements to this diet? So far today all iv eaten is a whole wheat bagel and a lot of water---and for dinner im going to have wonton soup---and shrimp(without the sauce)---does anyone have advice for a better diet? maybe its because i ate so late at night???Help!!

a calorie is a calorie no matter what time you eat it. i think it's the nuts- they're pretty high in calories. just make sure your calories aren't too high and don't weigh yourself once a day- your weight fluctuates. try only once a week...

jesse, u could be gaining weight from exercising to hard though 45 minutes sounds reasonable. just don't push urself too hard cauze ur muscles need to rest a day so they won't go into overtime. u also could of gained weight from weight training or jogging but those are good muscles. also if u eat after 5 ur body's metabolism (i think b/c it happens to me) slows down and all the foods that u eat after 5 turns into fat which then is turned into extra weight. and also ur breakfast portions may not be big, but its @ night (or dinner like after 6) are too big. it really depends. u should eat a hearty breakfast, a substanial lunch and a light dinner. but keep up the good work! Don't forget water! blessings ~Annie
