Hi...I stumbled upon this site almost a year ago, and at the time I weighed 185 lbs. (i'm about 5'6") At one point in my life, i weighed 219 lbs. It's been awhile since I've been here, but I am happy to say that right now I am 153 lbs. I've been dieting for 6 months, and have lost 30 lbs. That may seem very slow, but I took the month of december off of my diet. I run at 6.2 speed on the treadmill for 30 mins, and walk at 4.0 for another 30 mins 5 days a week. I am still not happy with my body. I eat 1200 - 1400 cals/ day, and I am thinking of cutting carbs to get to my ultimate goal of 130 lbs. Any suggestions?

I think I might try the slimfast thing. I have tried it in the past, but never was serious enough about it to make it work. I am scared of the whole adkins idea, because i have heard that it screws up your metabolism, and that you gain weight when you go off it. I also LOVE my cereal and pretzels, so i would probably not stick to it...

I suggest the atkins diet because you get to ate a lot of foods and get statified, but loose more weight than you have before. Also your metabolism is affected and you actually boost it instead of killing it.

omg. congrats. that's really awesome and i think you can make it to your goal since you've made it that far and seem to have such determination!
