Hey everyone, here is a story that helped keep me motivated. You might have heard it on the news or something... About a year ago, a man was rock climbing. He was a professional and all but this particular day he decided to go alone. So 80 feet in the air now and his arm gets caught in between 2 boulders and he can't get it out. He stayed up there for three days. You must imagine how tired he is by now. Well on the third day he decided that no one was going to find him and he had to get free if he wanted to save his own life. He decided that losing one arm was better than his whole life, so he decided to cut it off. He had an exacto knife with him, but that couldn't get through bone, so he had to break the bone on his arm in two places! ow! Then he cuts through his arm. Think about it... all the muscle and tendons he had to cut though. Serious pain. So after he's free from the boulders, he had to climb down. Now I dont know if any of you have ever been rock climbing, but climbing down the side of one with only one arm is extremely difficult. So there he is at the bottom. Awesome right? wrong. Now he has to walk 7 miles so he can get to his car! And you very well know, that you can not run with one arm missing otherwise blood would go everywhere. So there he is, after three days without food and water, after just cutting off his arm and climbing down a mountain, walking seven miles to his car. Could you imagine how tired he was? He finally got to his car, and some people had been looking for him and found him halfway... But could you just imagine the suffering this man had to go through and how hard it must have been to stay motivated? So the next time you say keeping to your diet is hard because that cupcake is so tempting, think of this guy. Then maybe you won't feel that way as much.... This story really helped me, I hope it can help you! :-) oh and yes, this is a true story.
