Has anyone tried low carb diet but didnt completely stick to it and still lost weight. What i mean is did you still eat other healthy stuff like fruit even tho you shouldnt eat that on a low carb diet.

it's always taken my mother an entire week for her to get back into ketosis- but i guess it must be different with peoples bodies and the amount they cheat. who really knows?

I did that a lot on my diet. Alrighty, you can eat fruit depending on how much of it and how many carbs you end up eating that day, that goes with basically anything you eat on a low carb diet. (Believe me girl, I know, I cheated sumthin terrible on my diet. LOL) Long as you don't go over a 60 to 70 carb limit you're fine (just don't eat any sweets ;D). I think its just on the Atkins Diet you can't eat fruit in the first two weeks or so because that is key when you start that particular diet. Oh, it doesn't take an entire week to go into ketosis just 2 - 3 days, at least that is what I read and what my diet buddy and I have experienced. Anyways hoped that helped. -V.

Hi sure we could be buds I was on low carb and I lost 10lbs in like 2months but i cheated alot I'm going back on it and I'm going to try and not cheat hopefully we will both loose weight fast. You should go to prom anyway even if you cannot loose all the weight in time just go with a friend or something because if you do not go then you will regret it maybe someday because prom is a once in a life time thing you should not miss it just because of your weight you are you and you should go and have fun write me back here or e-mail me okay I'm at

i don't think that you can do that. if you think you're going to cheat on the low carb diet then don't go on it- because you really can't cheat or it won't work(and if it does- it's not because of ketosis it would be because of calorie reduction or something if you're not acctually sticking to it)because it takes a whole week to get your body into ketosis- that's where your body is producing ketones for your brain to run off of instead of using carbs and where you start burning fat for energy. if you slip up once and eat to many carbs you have to spend a whole week to start going through ketosis again...
