Guys, I know this sounds crazy.. but today I decided to eat only when I am very hungry and stop eating before I get "full", just to see how much food I need. ___________ I wasn't hungry until 11:00, where I ate one wheat cracker and two small canned half-pears. Then, I wasn't hungry until 2:30, where I ate a 3-egg white omlette (only egg whites and a little salt, yummy!) and 4 dried apricots. ___________ Many people eat that much just as breakfast! I've lasted 6.5 hours on it.. why is my metabolism so slow? I'm not seditary or anything... I can't sit still for very long.. I just don't know why I don't eat alot.__________ It is very hard not to overeat when you only need the equivalent of one meal (I guess...) per day and everyone else is eating 3 meals + snacks.

When you eat carbs, it increases your insulin level to extreme highs in which you feel deceptively hungry. Cutting back on carbs, allows your insulin level to remain at a relatively low level, thus it is a plausbile reason for why you were not hungry. You may also have a slow metabolism. Note that eating little foods like that does not complete your daily nutritional needs, which could result in a demented growth spurt and what not

Update! I calculated the calories I have eaten today... and the result is a grand total of 233! What the heck, almost everyone I know would die on that.. what is up with my metabolism?
