Hi I read some where that drinking water helps to loose weight duh but they say to have an effect you need to drink .55 multiplied by your weight does anyone know if this is true?

There are a lot of different formulas to how much water you should drink to lose weight. Your body relies on water to funtion properly. Your kidneys need a ton of water. When you don't drink enough water your liver has to help the kidneys do their job. This distacts the liver from doing its job which is GETTING RID OF EXTRA WEIGHT and toxins in your body. So as you can see it is VERY important for you to drink enough water. As to how much - I don't know but I can tell you that 8 glasses is NOT enough (the 6 - 8 glasses is the MINIMUM amount of moisture needed to live but most people think that is all they need to drink).
