I have had many people reply to my boards about meal plans, and almost all of them suggested diets of almost all fruit or vegetables. Fruit and vegetables for every meal...to the point that I think it's slightly unhealthy. What about meat, and dairy, and breads? Fruit doesn't have the needed calcium, protein, and other nutrients that food pyramid says I should eat. -------(Thanks for pointing out the food pyramid thingy, Amber)--------- What do you guys think? Is that an excessive amount of fruit, or is it okay?

You are welcome. And I don't think you need to only eat fruits and veggies. Just include lots of them in your diet. But remember that you also need the other catagories in the Food Guide Pyramid. Good Luck!!!!!!! I am so proud of you for changing your life!!!!!!!

excessive fruit = loose weight, its true. but you're right, you do need SMALL amounts of the other things you listed. But if you're looking to loose weight, you should completely cut out junk and sweets, all of it is empty calories. Some foods are actually "negative calories" (not sure if true) but foods like apples, asparagus, artichoke, cabbage actually take more energy to eat then it has.
