I am not over weight and my question has nothing to do with my weight, but there is this girl. I met her a year ago at school and she was the cutest thing you ever saw, and we hit it off, at the time she was about 5 foot and 90 pounds. But over the course of the past year she has packed it on. she is now 150 punds. I still lover with all my heart but she is unheathy, and she is wearing the same styled clothing she did when she was thin, which is pretty revealing and people are begining to talk behind her back and she is getting upset, when we talk about weight she says that she wanted to gain some weight and she likes it but how can i encourage her to lose the weight.

wel, five feet and 90 lbs sound pretty good...she wanted to gain weight?!?!?!?!? Maybe she just wants to be "thick" and have muscle and some booty to her and she doesnt realize how far its gotten. I sudggest that you not exactly mention her losing weight but go for a walk and ask if she wants to come then start with like b ball games etc. Also..whenever she comes over, only eat halthy but yummy food like may help

you are sooo sweet for still staying with her at this tough time she's going through ..what i think is that since she likes this weight but isnt healthy maybe you should tell her about health instead of looks and what people think..people and looks give soo much pressure TRUST me on this one. help[ her eat healthier excersize moreetc etc ....less dessert.. and like instead of taking her to a movie you could take her ice skating or bowling or to the beach you know what i mean? :P good luck to the both of you

Well let's see what can I say... hmm first of all if i was your girlfriend and i came across this site i would probably feel pretty bad, knowing that my boyfriend was talking about me behind my back to ppl. i dont know about MY weight. I mean i know your worried about her.. but still i think telling ppl. HER weight and how unhelthy she is over a board without her consent is kinda rude, as well as inconsiderate to her. Especially if she thinks really highly of u and loves u (like im sure she does). Because if she ever ran across this i think she would feel hurt. I agree with the last post.. if u really love ehr u shouldnt care and another thing that bugged me.. this again proves to me how some guys can be so shallow.. i mean no wonder so many girls have anerexia guys want thin girls.. i guess u have to be 90 pounds to attract a guy. well this just justifies my thought of holding out for a guy like annes bf. But then again i know so many guys out there who will love u for u so all the girls reading this hold out for that type of a guy.. not the type who will talk about u behind your back after gaining some weight. im sorry if this sounded harsh but my weight and guys has become a touchy subject but im really lucky with the guy friends i have cuz they like me for me.

I know you care about her but it is up to her to lose weight - not you. No women should ever lose weight just for a man. If she is happy about her body then don't worry about it. She is still a healthy weight right now. Telling her she is too fat will hurt her. And don't go behind her back and tell her family either - that makes you seem like a jerk. Love is blind so you shouldn't be so upset about her weight. She was unhealthy at 90 pounds so she is better off the way she is now.

If you think shes beautiful, who cares what ANYONE else thinks. I think what you truly need to do is reasure her how beautiful she is as much as possible. If she is unhealthy because of her weight, offer to go on a diet with her.

I think it is sweet that you care about her like that. Most guys I know would just dump a girl and find somebody better. You should pack healthy lunchs and ask her if she wants some. When you take her out take her to dinner at places where they have more healthy foods. People can't tell I'm gaining weight and I'm happy about that part but I still wonna be heathly. SO either talk to her or her family or her friends.

Has she grown taller as well the past yr? If not, then you should talk to her or her parents (if you are close to her family) and tell her that you are worried about her health b/c if shes 5 foot and 150 lbs then she is overweight. Do NOT tell her to loose weight b/c of looks, but b/c of her own health and future health.
