Ht. 5'3", Today: 200 lb (BMI %tile: 98), Goal: 140 lb - Hello, I am starting my New Years Resolution today to lose weight. I am 200 pounds and I am 5 ft 3 in. I am going on the Dr. Phil McGraw weight loss challange. My goal right now is to be 140 pounds. I don't know how long it will take me but I hope to lose about 2 pounds a week. I am very serious about losing weight. I will write a new message every week to this board to tell everyone how I am doing. I would appreciate any support you can give me. I am just reading the book and doing what it says --- I am not sending a tape to him so I can be on the show---I don't have the time to do that right now.

I read reviews in a magazinein three or four sources concidered it a "C+"....Just saying what iw as told, and i really didnt like it :S...anywas, there is one for teens? wow i didnt even know that!! Mann ive got to hit the books!!

hey! I've read that book too! I haven't sucessfully gone through all the steps yet, but I think it is an altimate solution for weightloss. It teaches healthy eating, thinking, and physical fitness of weight loss. I wish you the best of luck, and i hope that i can try to stick with the book.

I guess I should have been more specific - I am reading Dr. Phil's son's book -"The Ultimate Weightloss Solution For Teens" (not Dr. Phil's book)
I love the book. It is not really a diet but more of a way to keep you focused on your own diet. It tells me how to stay on my diet.
And P.S. - What do you mean by "it did not get good reviews? - Dr. Phil's book is the #1 New York Times Bestselling Book - It got awesome reviews!!! Even my doctor said that it is a must read book to lose weight.

Hey i read that entire book and not only did it get bad reviews, but it did nothing for me...Honestly, its geared to like 50 year olds with like kids and stuff who have to work and its not so much about the physical fatness but the state of mind, Just lettin yah know
