Ht. 5'6", Today: 173 lb (BMI %tile: 96) - Hello everyone my name is Courtney.I'm 13 and I weigh 173pounds.My mom says it is because I'm tall.My heigth is 5'6.But I worry a lot.I drink a ton of water,but a ton of cokes to.I eat veg. and fruits, but a lot of snacks to go on top.I'm very athletic,but it is really hard for me to exercis.The only time I exercis anyway is if I have to.I don't know what to do anymore.I cry a lot because my step-dad is always reminding me about my weight.I don't know what to do anymore,and if I'm sad I eat or nerves or just hungrey.So as you can tell I eat a lot.What can I do?If you have any imformation PLEASE fill free to share with me.Thank You.

Well... being 5'6'' is somewhat tall... but not really tall enough for your weight. I am 5'8'', and doctors tell me the highest weight I should be is around 160. But, if you are athletic and big boned, then you would weigh more than you look.
What size pants do you wear? That is a better judge of how fit you are, because muscle weighs more that fat.
And, switching to Diet Coke is a good step, but also try and cut down a glass a day or something. Diet coke has aspartame.. which can cause tumors if taken in large amounts.
(I know this because my brother loves diet coke and would drink cans of it 24-7. He once drank the equivalent of 2 liters in one day)

find a hobby- i know it sounds boring but wait. ok- find one and do it when you feel like snacking but it's only a craving and you know that you're not hungry. get a hold of your diet first before you start exersizing. it might take a little while but these habits are breakable! belive me i've had to break them! if you can't get it under control switch to a healthier lower calorie snack and switch from reg. soda to diet soda(i only like diet pepsi vannila because it doesn't taste watery) or the fruit 2o's or the sparkling fruit water tastes relly great and all three of those aren no calories. find ways to shave off calories. and if you know that youre going to snack a lot then mae sure you eat a little l4ess at your meals. good luck!

If you drink alot of coke, regular coke is LOADED with sugar which is a no-no (you wouldn't believe how much sugar is in it, its like half the can). Switch to diet coke and thats a step in the right direction.

don't worry.i'm tall to.i weigh 207 pounds and im 6'2.if your tall like me and big boned but think you r over weight get some friends to help u out with ur diet.like tell them to tell u no if u go 4 that candybar or no if u go 2 sonic 4 that super sized doulble meat double cheese burger with ever thing on it.good luck
