Ht. 5'7", Today: 160 lb (BMI %tile: 86) - I love reading this site - especially anne's posts! I love the way you talk about your b/f, anne, it's obvious you really love him, and that's great! I've been struggling with my weight since I started college early last fall, and went from 115 to 160 (I'm 5'7") in a few short months, because of so much sitting, and also not eating enough (trying to not gain the "Freshman 15") slowed down my metabolism and messed me up. So anyway, then this summer I lost 15 pounds by eating mostly just fruit and taking an hour walk each day, but now I've gained it all back to 160 - argh... although I gained some muscle, and am a bit smaller than I was before I lost it the first time - so yay, lol. Anyway, I'm just really, really weight-obsessed and it's NOT a good feeling and not good for me the way I don't eat for days, then get hungry and overeat, then don't eat again. It's gotta change. And I don't like how I get worn out carrying around all this weight, either! So, I'm making a pledge to myself, and you're all my witnesses.I'm going to do a total body cleanse to get it started - for 4 weeks. You eat mainly fruits and vegetables on it, and so I'm sure I'll lose some that way, then after the cleanse I'm going on the Rotation diet, and I'll keep doing the 3 week rotations until I get down to where I feel and look healthy and energetic again. I'll exercise every day for at least 1 hour.I'll weigh myself daily, and keep a journal of what and when I eat and how much I exercise, and I'll post on this board at least once a week to let ya'll know how I'm doing! Whew, that was longwinded, haha! Wish me luck, everyone! We can do this!

try not to let yourself ever become hungry becasue when you do that your body needs a quick fix like sugary high- carb foods. complex carbs aren't bad unless you're on a low carb diet but sugar isn't good. well- you already know the rest so good luck!

You do sound obsessed with your weight! I always make plans like that too, but they never work for me, I've found I do the best (feel the best and lose the most weight) when I get so involved with things and so busy I just don't have to sit around and snack. For example, I've gotten realy into pottery I drive to local art center (1/2 an hour away) at least 5 times a week, often 6 (there closed on Sundays :(.) Since then my waist has shrunk a little and I feel good because I never think about my weight since Im always doing something (I don't even have time to watch my old favorite tv shows, i haven't turnded on the tube in weeks)!!!
