Today: 417 lb - HI MY NAMES KERRY AND I'M 14 I WEIGH 417LBS WHICH I KNOW IS HUGE!! I FEEL REALLY DOWN ABOUT MY WEIGHT BUT THE TRUTH IS I LOVE FOOD AND EATING AND CANT STOP. I FIND IT EXTREMELY HARD TO STICK TO A DIET. MY FAMILY ALSO MAKE IT HARDER FOR ME BECAUSE WEN I'M ON THE DIET THEY GO OUT TO EAT AT MCDONALDS AND ALL U CAN EAT CHINESSE BUFFETS. ALL OF MY FAMILY ARE LARGE EXCEPT MY OLDER SISTER WHO IS 16 AND HAD A GREAT FIGURE WHICH MAKES ME HATING HER WHICH I NO I SHOULDNT BUT SHE HAS ALWAYS GOT THE GREAT BOYFRIENDS AND IS A CHEERLEADER WHICH MAKES ME DEPRESSED COZ MY FAMILY ALWAYS MAKE COMMENTS ABOUT ME NOT HAVING A BOYFRIEND. I AM 14 AND NEVER HAD A BOYFRIEND I THINK THAT I AM A GREAT PERSON BUT BOYS CANNOT SEE BEYOND MY WEIGHT. I HAVENT KISSED A BOY WHICH MAKES ME THNK THAT I AM A FREAK!! I IT A TREDMENDOUS AMOUNT OF FOOD A AND SNACK ALL THE TIME. I GAIN AROUND 7LBS A WEEK. AND AM BEGINING TO GET HEART PROBLEMS WHICH MY DOCTOR SED WAS VERY BAD AND LIFE THEATIN SO AT THE AGE OF 14 I HAVE BEEN TOLD I COULD DIE BECAUSE I EAT TO MUCH.MOST GYALS ON HERE ARE NOT EVEN OVER WEIGHT AND I WOULD LOVE TO BE IN THERE POSITIONS.

it will take u about 2 years to get to a normal weight. u need to stop eating too much. u need to stick to a very stricth diet. even though ur family go out to mcdonalds that still doesnt matter. when u go to mcdonalds u can get the kid's meal or the salads. and when u go to the chinnese buffet, get 3 things like ur first dish is salad then get a main food then get a full plate of veggies. stop eating a tremendous amount of food and cut down on snacks. instead of eating chips, cookies, brownies, and all of thoses other foods, eat things like fruit drinks with real fruit and no sugar, veggies, and eat fruits. instead of gaining 7lb. a week, youll be losing lb. a week if you stick to it. and instead of getting heart problems your doctor will be very surprised. i hope to hear your succesful story. bye

hey gurl, i know exactly what you mean! Sometimes i go into the kitchen and start to get something to eat, but then i relize that i'm not even hungry. Sadly, i have no will power so most of the time i still eat it even though i regret it later (everytime). It's really frustrating, but lately i've been getting better at this thing, if you go into the kitchen, think am i hungry, and if you really truly are, then eat somethin small and healthy, but if your not, get some water, im tellin ya it really helps. so n e ways just give it a shot, you might not like it at first but in the long run you'll be happy that you did....plus it gets easier once it becomes a habbit.

hey hun. if ur worried bout your family eating at mcdonalds u can eat there too. just instead of getting a hamburger and fries or whtever have 1 have big salads like the grilled chicken ceasar. theyre really good and pretty filling just make sure you take ur time and concentrate on eatin so u dont eat to fast. also lik others said instead of pop get water and drink alot of it throughout the whole day. i mean ur gonna hafta pee alot but it really does work. and try to get some exercise. walking is probably the best way to start. walk every chance u get evn in every day life. like the stairs instead of an elevator. stuff lik tht. and u can still have snacks if u get hungry during the day but stick to fruits and veggies.i hope this helps. if u want nemore advice or wanna tlk email me at TQueenoftheCouRt@aol.com. btw ive neva had a bf either:)

you can still eat out at those3 places. just pick a healthier choice. such as a veggie dish (with a litle bit of the other stuff you like just to taste it) at the schinese place and cut out the fries and maonaise at mcdonalds or have a salad. eat really slowly so that you're on the same dish even though your familie's on thier third or whatever and just eat realy slowly untill you have to leave and be really happy with what you have! learn how to love tiny tastes of food and cut out zero calorie stuff like soda for drinking and only drink water and tea and things with no sodium or calories in them. cut down on your salt intake becasue it makes you bigger by retaining water that you don't need in your body. just make tiny changes that are good and work up losing weight. you can do this and it can bne for life,. oh- and the whole boyfriend thing- well- i didn't get my first kiss even untill i was 15 so don't worry about it becasue there are wonderful people out there that do look past this stuff. i happen to be dating one of them for ovre a year. just give yourself a goal like "i won't add any exra salt to my food" this week and "i will only drink water when i need something to drink" the next week and then "i will only have 1 plate when i go to the chinese buffet"- i know it's hard becasue i love that stuff too but just pace yourself. good luck! i really want to see you do this! and by the way- i'm thinner then my older sister but she's the one that has all the guys(not bad looking ones either-some i had a cruch on) all over her- so just wait untill your time comes...

Ok..to lose weight do 50 sit ups a day, and 50 leg lifts. Try walking around the block, or even walking around your room. ONLY drink water. I no everyone tells you this probably but it works! I weighed 180 at the beginning of the day and drank 8 water bottles and at the end i was 176! If everyone in your family is overweight, excluding your sister, then why don't you talk to them and tell them you really want to lose weight, and they should to. Then you could work together and have contests to see who can lose weight first to motivate you! I really hope you lose some weight and i will pray for you and your family! Bye bye!

kerry i'm really worried about you! I'm with Tricia with the asking if you are really hungry before you eat. More than likely you are eating for comfort or ur depressed. Trust me i kno how that is! I think u should start keeping a diary to sort through ur feelings instead of eating through them. Talk to your family, too! tell them how you feel. O and i haven't had a b/f either, and i kno how u feel because i feel so lonely without having one and then seeing most of the other girls with their b/f at skewl. don't worry though. how i look at it is, if they're so shallow just to look on the outside and not see who i am on the inside then they aren't worth me anyways! i wish u the best of luck, and i hope that u can get to your goals,

Kerry, I'm 17 and 168lbs. I know I'm overweight and I'm determined to change. When you look at food nd decide to eat it, do you ever stop to think.. "am I really hungry? Will I die if I don't eat this?" Chances are you're NOT hungry! And portions should be no larger than the size of your fist. Always ask yourself if you're really hungry or not. You may not even be hungry, you may be THIRSTY, in that case, drink water or fruit juice. Soda has no nutritional value at all. It makes me sad to read about your conditions and I don't want anything to happen to you :( Please try to change your diet.
