hi im new here. does anyone know a way to lose weight fast? ive always been pudgy but now that im older ive realized just how overweight i am. i dont want to be like this anymore. ive gained 20 pounds in the past year, and i want to lose it again plus more of the 'extra'. someone HELP

I know my family is kinda the same way, well @ least my mom is...she is always commenting on my weight...even in front of my friends((embarrassing))I do not wanna kill myself, it is not that big of a deal since my mom is not the skinnest person either((she was)) ne ways if I did lose weight it would b for me and my healt not for my mom...I also wanna lose weight bc I wanna b able to go to a store and get my size...

To bbb and cherry: i have a prob with the whole diet thing. my family isnt exactly supportive of me or my weight and they already pick on me enough. im afraid that if i went on a diet (since they would definitely notice) theyd pick on me more and say that i was admitting that i was fat and it would just make me depressed. i eat more when im depressed, and if i dont eat more it makes it worse and then i go attempt suicide (dun it many times) my familys really mean an i cant do ne thing about it. i already almost got taken away. im already pretty active (yes, i like sports) but it never helps me lose the weight. :( i dont like being this way!!!

moderate eating and exercise are key. A lot of times we eat more than we realize. Try keeping a journal and include everything! Even if it wasn't served on a plate. Then start with 2o mn of walking and build up. Maybe there's an activity you like or sport or something. When you get home from school go outside and move around. Drink lots of water and eat good nonstarchy vegetables. I like to eat 5 200-400 calorie meals and I don't eat anyk kind of carbs except vegetables after 3:oo just to help me cut down. And the best advice is not to beat yourself down if you make an unhealthy choice and get your family and friends to help you.
