anorexia is definately a disease. it'a anorexia nervosa- i'm reading a book on it and it's a really really bad mental illness. anorexia is when you go on an exteme low calorie diet where one will have as low as they can. and if they are forced to eat more then they think the should they throw it up(no- it's not bulemia- there's a difference. bulemia is where a person binge eats and throws it up and does that with everymeal) there are degrees that one can become obbsessed and have anorexia though...

Anorexia is a attempted suicide. Everytime you look at the scale and you see a number, for example 150, U want to be 140. when you see 140, u wanna be 130. It's like a disease. Soon you will stop eating and die.

anorexia and bulimia are a mindset. it is an obsession. and to correct anne, to be diagnosed with bulimia you only have to have 2 incidents every week, for like...2 or 3 months. It's not every meal, and you need to eat at least 900 calories a day, otherwise you are "starving" and you CAN be anorexic when you are overweight. It's not necessarily about weight, but the mindset that comes with it. However if you aren't the "right weight" to be diagnosed as an anorextic, you would have ED-NOS. And if you don't purge frequently enough you are also classified as ED-NOS. Anorexia isn't a diet. Don't start doing anything like this because it will change you for the rest of your life and it's hard to stop once you begin.

but be careful- you don't have anorexia now but the obsessive behavior can manafest itself into that. just remember that that it NOT how you want to die...
