I've decided to become a vegan today. I'm living on peanut butter and jelly right now cuz I'm not sure what I can eat! lol. This is going to help me on my diet a lot.

Uhm, I've already been a vegetarian for 1 1/2 months, and it's for moral reasons. Not to lose weight. and I feel so much healthier. I know that vegans don't eat any animal products. But just because you are a vegan doesn't mean that you can't eat products from companies whom make other things including animal products...as long as I am not consuming any animal products I am a vegan.

I agree with Marie. Vegan also means not buying products from companies that test on animals and not buying products such as wool/silk/honey/leather/etc. I've been vegan for a while, and I've seen people try doing it just to lose weight, then they go back to their normal diets and gain everything back. So, only go vegan if you plan to stay vegan.

Unless you are morally against killing animals, or even milking them, you should not be a vegan just to lose weight plus dairy is good for you if you want to lose weight. By the way vegan means not only will you not eat meat, but also no product that came from animals (meaning any dairy product).
