Ht. 5'3", Start: 100 lb, Today: 130 lb (BMI %tile: 85) - Hi! I weigh 130 at 5'3. Do u think its OK?? Everyone in my school is really skinny and even though I am not teased or anything, I do want to be skinny too. Anyone ha bright ideas? I used to be really skinny 2 about 1.7 years ago but I lived in Russia then. After that I moved to US and gained 30 pounds in about 5 months. I became 2 sizes bigger in pants and I did not grow much- about 2-3 inches. I want to be 110 by the end of the school year, June 19. Heres my plan: I will do Tae bo 5 time a week twice a day. I will eat healthy, 1350 calories. I will also walk around the block every day for 1.5 hours. How much do you think I can loose by June 19????????????Thanks. Please help. 130 punds?? I'm sorry but you mad about that? Gurl it doesn't matter if your friends are oh 100 pounds It matters if your comfortable with you weight and scence your don't comfortable about your weight and your doing something about it shows a lot of confidence and if your going to stick with your plan then your going to most likley reach your goal weight but don't loose tomuch you don't need to weigh like 100 pounds I was at that weight at the begining of this skewl year and i wasn't comfortable people said i was too skinny and then my boyfrnd said i was fat things get confusing but only loose to what your comfortable with

Well, if you are not teased, and you probably don't even look bad, then why do you wanna be skinny?? Of course it's OK!! And what EXACTLY do you mean by skinny? For your age and height, 130 lbs is only 1 POUND over the healthy weight range! If you want to you could lose about, maybe, um, 10 pounds? But if you don't even look bad and you are active and healthy, please don't try to be like everyone else, ok? Because when you do that, that is what makes you depressed and all. And remember that skinny doesn't always necessarily mean healthy. Be happy being you! At least you aren't like, 90 lbs overweight or something. And DO NOT over-exert yourself. You probably aren't an athlete, and if you are not used to doing high intensity activity twice a day, 5 days a week, I don't suggest you start now. Best thing to do is take it slowly because rapid weight loss isn't healthy for ANYone. Also, you should consult your doctor on a healthy weight for you and how much you should lose a week, that is if you don't have a muscular build, and if your doctor says you are OK then you are OK!
