I need help! I'm 13, about 5 foot 5 and when I weighed myself this morning I weigh 183! I've gained 1 pound since last week! And what's worse is about 2 monthes ago I weighed 175! So I've GAINED 8 pounds! I want to loose weight, but I just can't get down to it! You know. HELP!

Wow, Jessica, those calorie counts (3000-4000 for inactivity) you gave seem pretty high, are you sure that's right? :o :)

It was hard for me too, samantha. When I was your age, I weighed about 220. Then, at 14, i weighed 249. Dont be disapointed in yourself. I now weigh 136 and I am still losing. Just start from where you are. Assuming that you are extremely inactive, (LOL, YEAH RIGHT) you should be burning about 3000 - 4000 calories a day, and that would be if you were sleeping 27/7. So, to lose about 5 - 10 lbs a month, only eat about 1500 - 2000 calories a day and no more then about 20 g of fat. that should help, that is what i did :) good luck! you rock!
