Hi everyone,i'm posting this because i'm concerned (sorry can't spell) about my friend Kelly, she's 14 like me,5"1 like me, but she weighs over 300lbs. But i don't think she cares as she doesn't care what she eats. I don't know how to tell her that i worry, she might take it the wrong way. But she does weigh herself (when she feels she's lost weight even though she's not on a diet), i have to help her because she cannot see the scales. 2 weeks ago she weighed 327.Everyone makes fun of her at school and i think it hurts me more than her. Please help me.

hey, i'm sure your friend wont take it the wrong way if u let her know how u feel. ask her if she wants to join you for a little exercise or instead of taking the lift, take the stairs. at first it will be really hard for her, so maybe you could find a reward and tell her that she will receive it once she loses like about 14lbs. it will motivate her more.

take turns to bring lunch. on your days, bring only healthy small servings. and if on her days she brings junk, try to like, make excuses that your teacher wants to see BOTH of you. and make a big detour round the school( good for exercise:P) and say, oh, i forgot! she only wants to see me! then your friend kate wouldn;t have time to go back to her locker for her lunchbox. then ask her to give it to you, and you dump it!:P

Hey, I am sorry to hear that but there IS something that you can do. Set up a workout plan for yourself and ask if she would like to do it with you. This way you are helping her but not hurting your feelings. And the only other thing to do is too tell her that you worry. Tell her about diabetes and other health problems. If she is a good friend, she will listen to you and take in your concern. Anyway, I hope I have helped! Tell me what happens, ok? My e-mail is soccerchic214@msn.com. Good luck!! Kate
