Hey guys! I'm 5'5" and weigh 170 pounds. According to the weight calculator, I should weigh a lot less. I really need to lose about 40 pounds or more, especially since summer is coming and I'm always invited to lots of pool parties. Has anyone tried Sugar Busters or another low carb diet? Did it work? I bought the Sugar Busters book, and it seems like it will work. I run around 7 miles a week, is that enough?

DO NOT GO ON A LOW CARB DIET THOSE ARE BAD FOR YOUR HEALTH BUT WATCH HOW MUCH YOU HAVE. HAVE ALOT OF PROTIEN

hey, I know exactly how u feel only I was 5'3 180 I have lost over 40 pounds and I even am starting to get a six pack losing weight makes u feel more comfortable being who u are but remember if u are wanting to lose weight don't do it to impress anyone but urself because if u lose weight for someone else and things go wrong u will gain it back. it took me a long time but I finally realized that and it paid off. good luck with everything

I know exactly how you feel, and to let you know, it is possible. I was 175 pounds and am now 145 pounds. I lost all that weight in about a year. All i really did was count calories (limiting myself to 1550 a day) and exercise about a half hour a day. Just give yourself time, and you can do anything you set your mind to.
P.S. I'm 5'2", so i really was fat, i still am, but not as much as i was.
