I just recently joinded a gym, and its great!I do some kickboxing occasionally, and i do the treadmill for an hour everyday. My jeans are starting to feel baggy on me! and ive only been doing it for a week. Ive been drinking green tea, because i read in a fitness magazine that it speads up metabolism. Ive stopped looking at the scale, and i seriously suggest doing that to all of yall, because as soon as i did, i started feeling better about myself, and started seeing changes in my body! Im 5'5' and 140lbs, my goal is 120, but im soo toning up, im wearing a size 5/6 jeans now! Its great, the scale will lie to you, truly, excercise everyday and cut out the junk food, remeber-no scale-. Their was a survey conducted among women, those to lose wieght and were happy with their bodies and had a positive outlook on themselves lost 10 lbs more that those women who didn't like thier bodies or themselves at all and were trying to lose wieght.Mind and body people, all goes together, i know ill eventually reach my goal of 120lbs, and that day will be a great day, but until then, im happy with how i am, and i hope u are too.

Rachel: i don't think that is the same as running. You burn less calories in the water because you aren't holding yourself up. Try walking or playing a sports game like basketball. Even shooting hoops by yourself for a half an hour a day will help you lose weight.
