If I drink water with every meal and in between meals, do you think I'll lose weight? Also, do you think I should stop eating at a certain time? Thanks for any help and suggestions.

Hey,
I am trying that right now. So far, I am not loosing much weight, but i can tell a major diff. You dont have to just drink water, but you can drink diet drinks so it wont be so bland!! I am not eating after 6:00 pm because if you eat before you sleep, you wont burn all of the calories, but if you dont eat before bed, you will burn a little calories, so you end up loosing instead of gaining. It dont happen over night, you have to have confidence in yourself and try your hardest!! GOOD LUCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

about the time to eat question, sorry ladies but you are both wrong, it doesn't matter what time you eat as it depends on the amout of calories you consume within a 24 hour period, if your daily maintenence level was say 1500 kcal's and if you ate 1400 just before you went to bed you'd loose weight, if that was all you'd eaten within a 24 hour period, it takes about 2 days for the body to process our food and store it as fat, so again it doesn't matter what time you eat so long as you dont excced your daily calorie amount, yes the body does slow down when we sleep, but the calories are ready to be used the next day you just have to subtract those calories from the next days allowance or use them up, also drinking excess water wont make you loose weight if your exceeding your calorie amount, but it can help suppress the appetite as feelings of thirst are often mistaken for feelings of hunger, and if you drink it ice cold then the body uses calories to heat it up, hope this helps.

miss piggyyou cant be any more wrong. The reason why we are discouraged to eat late at night is because before you sleep, your body burns fat slower. Thus, you gain more....

I think that you should drink at least 6 to 8 glasses of water a day. My mom goes to weight watchers and the persont that taught it said that it does not matter what time you eat as long as you eat something like a carrot or a piece of bread and a glass of water. The reason why most people say that eating late is bad is because people usually tend to eat fatty foods at night.
GOOD LUCK!
