Hi everyone I have wrote 2 messages before. I have lost 2 pounds in a week but its hard for me to get the motivation to exercise and we dont have any healthy food in our house. And I feel like I am gaining weight this week instead of losing weight. It is making me really depressed. If anyone would like to make a meal plan with me that we could eat everyday that would be great you can reply back here or email me at katiebug2187@hotmail.com.
Thanks, Katie

i know what you mean when you say that you feel as though you are gaining instead of loosing, the reasons why may be because your metabolism has slowed down, it does this if you restrict calories for a while as your body tries to save energy for important bodily functions, you have to try and fool the body by giving it an energy boost sometime, your body responds to the increase in calories by speeding up the metabolism to burn them off, once speeded up the metabolism then takes about 3 days to slow down again, when it does increase calories again to repeat the process, how this works in real life is on day 1 eat what you like but dont go too wild, then the next two days diet really strict and hard, next two days eat just less than your limit, next two days eat at your limit and then repeat, allow yourself your treats on your off day but not too many its not an excuse to binge out, this really works but youve got to stick to be really strict on the 2 days following or it just wont work, also when you loose weight it comes off the arms and legs first and the body last, so even though you might have lost weight it might not look like it at first, so dont get dissapointed just rember that this will happen and stick to the diet, with myself i find that the first 3 weeks nothing seems to happen and then suddenly ive lost loads, some people loose a little at a steady pace and others like me loose in cycles, the important thing is to realise this will happen keep happy and just stick with it as the results make it all worth while.

I know what you mean. I'm finding it hard to get the motivation to exercise aswell. We dont have any healthy food in our house either. I feel like I am gaining weight this week instead of losing weight. I haven't figured out why. It is making me really depressed. I usually phone a friend when I'm feeling down. They don't know that I'm on a diet. Talking helps me take my mind of things. You could also try talking 2 your mum about getting in healthier food. Im sure she'll support you. Anyway if you wanna chat you can email me at: alwayzsmiling4u@yahoo.co.uk
