2 summers ago i lost 25 pounds and felt great, but when school started again, i lost control and started buying lunch, which was not the best thing to do. Now, i can't get any willpower to do it again. I have gained all the 25 pounds back and feel bad and i know i have to lose, but just starting is a problem. I came across this site and am finding it a great help. Most of the places around are for older people, not teens, and its great to have a place that understands what we are going through and makes it a little easier to lose by not selling anything or using those big technical tersm. Anyway, i would just like to say good luck to everyone here on their goals. Mine is 50 pounds, and I'M GOING TO MAKE IT.

try running like 2 miles every other day. take them slow at first and try not to stop. because if you stop then you will make it harder to start again. Once you get the 2 miles down work up to 2 and 1/2 to 3 miles. If you run them on the road or not on a track it doesn't get as boring. I was exactly like you and I ran for about 4 weeks and I lost about 15 pounds. You need to also make sure that you eat healthy. try to cut back on the sweets to 1 a day. and eat like 2 fruits a day. eating fruits helps your energy because it has natural surgar to get you going not surgar that is going to give you energy for a little bit then quit. make sure that you eat every meal. breakfast is very important! that is how you start to burn the calories. and when i got done running i usually wasn't hungry for like 2 hours so don't eat unless you have an appetite. do not eat because you think you are hungry. and when you eat once you think that you are full stop for about 10 minutes. then after that if you are still hungry then eat a little more. 10 minutes lets the food in your stomach settle. also once you are done running do 50 crunches in the middle 50 off to the right and 50 to the left it will help you slim down too. I hope that this helps. :)

Hey! I just discovered the site too, and am finding it very helpful. I too am on my weightloss trek. I'm hoping to loose around 70 lbs, though and it seems so hard. But if you ever need to talk or need support, just e-mail me... druid_33@yahoo.com.

Good for you!!! Everyone should have a goal and be as optimistic about it as you are. Just make sure you don't try to lose it all at once. Work your way there. Goals are not won in one day, or even one week, for that matter. Keep up the spirit!!!
