Eating sugar makes you crave food you don't need. It significantly spikes insulin, which makes WANT to eat more.
If you avoid sugar, you will not want to eat as much and will eat less naturally. DON'T EAT SUGAR! The more overweight you are, the less sugar you should eat to lose weight.
Foods with sugar:
Bread(including whole grain)
Pasta
Fruit
Candy
Soda
You can eat all this again after you lose weight, but by getting rid of it now you are eliminating your craving for worse foods like candy. Since you will not be eating sugar, you new to replace it with some other source of energy. Fat.
Fat is not bad for you, even so called bad saturated fat. It does not clog your arteries or cause diabetes. It is way more filling, so you will feel full and not want to eat bad food. Eating more fat and less sugar leads to 2x more weight loss that a low fat diet.
Trans fats are still really bad and should not be eaten. Low sugar diets also lower the chance of heart disease and blood pressure.
