Ht. 5'6", Start: 165 lb, Today: 152 lb (BMI %tile: 86), Goal: 118 lb - Hey! So, I have a sort of a dilemma. I really want to lose weight (obviously :) because I healthy and look absolutely FAB. I have been a competitive swimmer most of my life and sadly I don't have a swimmer's body and I think that this is hurting my performance. I also hate not being able to wear cute clothes. I hate how they put the tiny sizes on the front side of the clothing rack and then the larger on the back and the small ones look cute but when they make them bigger they don't look right and when I try them on I hate how they look(btw I wear a size 9/10). Anyway, my problem is that I don't really know what my goal weight should be because I talked to my doc and he said my bmi was almost healthy and I just just stay the same weight and "grow into it" but I don't think I'll ever be much taller. He said that I was also very muscular because of swimming (which is somewhat true and I have developed very broad shoulders which are a nightmare for jacket shopping) so he recommended measuring my body fat percentage. I did that at the fitness I go to with this little machine thing and it said my body fat is 26%. That seems really high to me! So how much weight do you think I should lose to look awesome for school and to be able to be confident in a bikini(which I have worn only once in my life :(? Also I want a life guarding job next year and my current figure won't help me with that very much. Any advice is appreciated. Thanks :)

I was a swimmer to, yeah during swimming yuh tend to build slight muscle and it really tones,(your taller than me) I was 5'4" and a size 7 weighing 147, I remember still wanting to slim. It's important to know that muscle weighs about three times more then fat but is compacting and lean is comparing the fat is three times the mass of muscle though. If that made sense (: haha. Always I that's my thoughts for yuh. Also take the oppounity to be swimming as long as possible, I honestly think its the best thing for anybody. GOOD LUCK :D

between 125-130 lbs for your hight and body frame, small healthy poriton sized foods, drinking lots of water, helps a lot.. You ll get 125-130 lbs in time, that is healthy for you Elodie!!!!
you would look good in a size 5)6) Juniours that would make you 130 or 125 lbs!!
