Ht. 5'5", Start: 147 lb, Today: 145 lb (BMI %tile: 84), Goal: 125 lb - So I have a little problem that needs fixing. When my mom makes some sort of dessert and asks me to try it and at first my answer is no, then she makes me feel guilty for not trying somehow, so then I try the dessert and I'm like 'oh this is really good' then I just can't stop eating it. Does anyone else have this problem, eating and can't stop?

Hi Abbie, just like Jessica said, I think you should have a small taste but maybe have something healthy afterwards like an apple or even some other lower calorie dessert so you feel like you still had something sweet. I have the worst problem with sweets because if I eat some candy or ice cream, I'll have that taste in my mouth and it makes me crave it more so whenever I can't resist, I'll have some of it and then eat something else to take my mind off of it. If it doesn't work for you, you CAN say no Abbie. You shouldn't let anyone force you to eat something even your family members because that'll leave the feeling that you can't say no to anyone and eventually you wont even try to say no. So it's okay to say no :) remember it's your body and your health. Besides, she'll get over it.
