Ht. 5'6", Start: 254 lb, Today: 252 lb (BMI %tile: 98), Goal: 120 lb - :D I lost 2 pounds!! That is huge for me ! I never have ANY success on diets ! I have followed my eat less do more idea. I find that I hardly ever eat if I only eat when I am really hungry. Like today all I have had is a bagel, some hamburger helper, a popscicle and now I am splitting a bowl of popcorn with my sister. Yesterday I had chef boyardi lasagna, a glass of juice, 6 hershey kisses (kinda bad I know but it was the only bad thing) and then for supper we had grilled cheese sandwiches and fries which I only had a small portion of.
I am also drinking less sugary things. I am only drinking diet pop and I had 2 classes of juice today.
I think ignoring my cravings has made them fade into the background a bit which is really helping me stay on the bandwagon. lol
For excersises I have been doing sit ups (I have a cold so I didn't really feel like walking or anything. I just layed on my yoga mat and did some sit ups) But on the downside, my sides are starting to ache from them. Does anyone have any good ideas for excersises I can do inside that might put a little less strain on my back?
Also, since I have had my cold I was home from school the past 2 days because I needed to get some extra sleep (i was exhausted even though I went to sleep at FIVE... that is a sign that I definitely need a break lol) I really tested my will power because I usually over eat when I am bored/home alone/around a lot of food and i didn't over eat so I am so proud of myself :)
I am so happy that I am seeing results, even if it was only 2 pounds. I think that is what I needed because now I am even more motivated to keep going with my diet :)
I hope everyone else is doing good on their journeys ! :)

Thanks ! :) the reason I have been trying to completly stop over eating and only eat a little bit a day is so I can work back up to eating a little more. And plus, I think if I only eat when I am hungry and not like starve myself I will be better off than eating EVERYTHING that is in my house lol
I got sick of trying to wean myself off of the over eating so I wanted to try and quit cold turkey and it seems to be working.
my parents have a (i don't really know what it is called ) it is like a standing still bicycle but it is sort of like in a relaxed sitting position, in our shed so I am trying to convince them to get it out for me but where it is almost christmas, they aren't very willing to bring something that big into the house. I will try the bicycles though and I am going to see about getting some heavier weights because I only have 2 pound ones which is a little too light I think.

Great job losing 2 lbs! Some tips though, eating less won't necessary help you lose weight, but rather eating the right foods. Eating a good sized healthy breakfast in the morning will actually help speed up your metabolism. Sit-ups are great for building muscle, but not so much for burning fat. Building that muscle in your abs can actually make you look bigger! I like doing bicycles..not sure if that's really what they're called, but i lay flat on my back, put my legs in the air, and kind of pedal them like I'm riding a bike upside down! I hope I helped a little. Good luck!! :)
