Ht. 5'4", Start: 190 lb, Today: 170.4 lb (BMI %tile: 94), Goal: 135 lb - I think rewarding ourselves is good. Not with food...I mean yeah when I'm doing really good I allow myself a cookie but I'm talking about rewarding ourselves with something other than food. My mom told me today that she was happy for me that I reached my 20 lb. goal and she took me to get a pedicure. It was great and it made me not only happy that my toes looked awesome but also about how hard I worked to lose those 20 pounds. It was remotivating for me to keep doing better! I think we should reward ourselves with something like that or a new pair of shoes, or a new shirt or jeans. It doesn't have to be clothes. Heaven knows I get excited to try out new hair or makeup products. Or we could reward ourselves with food...I don't like this idea as much because when I do this I tend to get carried away. Maybe reward ourselves with food we've never tried...something crazy like sushi or something. (to me, sushi is crazy. ew.) I think we often overlook even our smallest successes because it feels like we've got so much further to go. I think I'm going to reward myself with something small and inexpensive every time I lose 10 or 15 pounds. Just don't forget you guys that losing weight is hard, it's not easy. Being overweight is hard, and losing weight is hard. But I rather choose losing weight to be my struggle, because we all know how tough it can be being overweight. Good luck this week you guys, and don't forget you're doing awesome!!!

You're right it is good to reward ourselves!! I have a list of things I'm rewarding myself with for every 5 pounds I lose so I can have motivation. My end goal reward is a pair of Miss Me's in an attractive size!:)
