Ht. 5'0", Start: 151 lb, Today: 145 lb (BMI %tile: 97), Goal: 100 lb - Hey there. I need help on losing some weight. I need to lose 45 pounds before summer starts. Any diets or exercise routines that may help or any encouragement would really help. My school serves ice cream, slushies, PB&J sandwiches, and soft pretzels everyday. It's kind of tempting not to eat some ice cream every now and then. Any advice?

Pack lunch every day and check out loseit.com. it helped me out a lot!

Hey, good luck, but 45 lbs I think is too much. My friend has a really thin body, and she's thirteen, but she weighs 120. I think if you lost so much weight you would be very underweight! don't ruin your body! :)

I don't think it is unrealistic at all. If you work really hard, you can loose 2 to 3 pounds aweek. You will probably gain weight at first if you do weights, but you are just building muscle, and muscle burns more fat. You can probably loose about 10 pounds a month.

try only eating 1 icecream a week. but in reality, loosing 45 pounds in 4 months seems like a big health risk for a 13 year old girl. take baby steps. do you like sports? dancing? track? try to do an afterschool activity thats fun and healthy. if you think thats lame, then try going on 10 minute walks everyday, when you think thats easy enough, make it 15, then 20. do this everyday and you WILL see results. try not to east so much sugary treats at NIGHT. if you eat sugary treats before bed you WILL gain weight. and its not all about loosing weight, its about being stay at a healthy wieght and KEEPIGN that weight, gaining weight is really whats going to get you in trouble. xoxo, Lia
