Hi Heather, Here is an article that I think you might find helpful about late night binge eating: http://seattletimes.nwsource.com/html/health/2011838795_diet12.html?syndication=rss
Good luck!

Heather, this is where the hard part of weight loss comes in to play...in situations like this, it's more a mind over body type thing. YOU have to be the one who tells yourself no because, believe me, your body is always going to tell you yes.
Here's a few things you could do:
1. Ask your mom to keep the junk food to a minimum in the house or, if that's not possible, to hide it from you so it's not easily accessible.
2. Try filling your stomach with water (mix those 5 cal. Crystal Lite packets in if you don't like drinking plain water)during those times you just know you're not hungry but you're still about to eat unhealthy foods.
3. Go for a run, swim, to the mall with friends, anything that will get you out of the house. Or, a lot of times what I do when I'm about to eat junk food, I'll go to my closet, take out some of the clothes I'm really trying to lose weight to fit into, and I attempt to try them on. Nothing makes you think 'lose weight' like not being able to get a shirt past your stomach or pants all the way zipped up =P.
It looks like you've come a long way from where you first started so for that, congratulations! Don't be too hard on yourself if you slip up sometimes - it's part of life. Just tell yourself that next time, you're going to handle the situation differently.
