Kristi, I'd get a second opinion, because the amount you eat has nothing to do with it, it's what is contained within the amount of food. You hear of people who go on diets where they eat only very low calorie foods like celery, which has about 6 calories a stalk. Even if they eat 100 in a day, that's still only about 600 calories, and while it's a lot of food, it's simply not enough. It's not the AMOUNT of food you eat at all, but what is contained within that food, how many calories, etc. I'd get a second opinion, because I've heard from SEVERAL doctors, that EVERYONE needs at least 1200 calories, even when they're dieting. Some people may need more, but from what I've heard, that's the limit on how low someone should ever go. Perhaps talk to another doctor to be on the safe side, because honestly, lack of calories sounds like it would cause EXACTLY what you're experiencing...

ive been through my doc...he said 1000 calories is fine because most of the foods i eat or very low in calories...so in reality im prolly eating more than the average person dieting on 1200 calories....so the calorie intake isnt the problem...idk what it could be tho

eating under 1000 calories a day sends your body into starvation mode, and it does it's best to stores everything you eat as fat in order to compensate for lack of food. So that's most likely why you're not losing weight...

You should be eating a minimum of 1200 calories per day. Try increasing your calorie intake.
