Ht. 5'8", Start: 225 lb, Today: 170 lb (BMI: 26), Goal: 160 lb - Hey guys! and welcome back Claire :) (i was wondering where you went!) I've been dieting and exercising minimally when i can find the time for about a week now, and ive lost 5 pounds of water/fat that i had gained. great. so back to square one. im finding it hard to get into the 160s again. i was 167 this summer but quickly shot back up (i lost it the bad way, by hardly eating due to stress and being busy) so i guess thats why it didnt stay off! oh well. ive been doing awesome with my eating. my goal is to lose minimum 1 pound per week until a wedding i have to go to in July. that will bring me to my mini goal of 160 (my ultimate goal is 145-150). does anyone find that jogging helps to lose weight? and if so, how long should i jog for? 20-30 mins? im not good with the exercise, just the eating lol anyways hope everyone is doing amazing. good luck! :)

Amanda! yes, I'm back and will be alive on this board (ahem unlike most people lol) stress is the worst!! but don't worry, just get right back into it. I have a wedding to go to in June! and want to be ripped by then. lol ok not ripped. That can't happen this fast but yeah. I started jogging about a week ago, I do 2 miles within 25 minutes (which is bad but I'm just starting so you know) I couldn't even jog for 5 minutes before! so thank god with all the jogging day after day, my body got used to it and by day 3/4 I was running. We will see if it pays off. I'm sweating like crazy by the time I get done. Feels good :) try it out. Remember it doesn't matter how long it takes to jog a mile or whatever...cause we're not athletes! I have to remember that too lol. I heard jogging is more effective than walking so that's why I started doing it. Also, helps to blast fast music in your ears. It makes u want to run faster like you're on a mission. ive been jogging. and i run about 25-45 minutes. it feels good feeling the sweat on ur face, lol im a freak, but it really helps i lost one pound from doing that
